Valley Interfaith Council

<p>The Valley Interfaith Council aptly describes itself as "unique."</p> <p>Headquartered on Topanga Canyon Blvd., it's a rare coalition of religious congregations in the San Fernando Valley united under the banner of social justice and charitable giving.</p> <p> The organization provides social services "to thousands each year while holding fast to its original interfaith identity," according to its Web site.</p> <p>These services include caring for the elderly and disabled, food bank programs, family support services and what it calls "social and interfaith activities for the Valley community," such as holiday celebrations, an annual golf tournament and community forums.</p> <p>The VIC Foundation generates funds and has a deposit account with the California Community Foundation, also known as Calfund.</p>
