Week Ahead: Toy Drive; Neighborhood Council Holiday Party and More

The Northridge West Neighborhood Council is hosting a holiday party from 7-8 p.m. at Northridge Christian Church. Come for free refreshments from California Pizza Kitchen and a chance to meet your neighbors. 18901 Chatsworth Street, Northridge. Click here for more event info.


Head to Chick-fil-A for a holiday celebration with story time with a cow, arts and crafts, gift wrapping and a free cookie with entree purchases. 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, or 6:30pm. 8875 Tampa Avenue, Northridge.


Scrooge, The Musical is being performed at at the Big Oak Theatre in Chatsworth on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. "This family holiday favorite transports you to 1860's London to witness the transformation of "rotten old Scrooge" as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future." All tickets $18, groups 10 or more $17.  Reservations 818-998-0185. 22200 Chatsworth St.

The 30th Annual Chatsworth Kiwanis Parade will take place on Sunday, December 15. The Parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. and travel eastbound on Devonshire Street from Jordan Ave to Lurline Ave. This year's theme is Winter Carnival. A Car Show and Festival will also take place from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Canoga Ave. between Devonshire St and Lassen Ave. This family friendly event will feature games, face painting, arts and crafts and much more. Admission is free. Eastbound on Devonshire St. from Jordan Ave. to Lurline Ave.

LAPD Devonshire PALS is hosting a holiday toy drive through Dec. 13. Drop-off locations are: Council District 12 Community Service Center
9207 Oakdale Ave.

Devonshire Police Station
10250 Etiwanda Ave.

The final day to drop off toys is Friday, December 13. The 30th Annual Toy Drive is on December 14 at 9 a.m.
