'Autism Speaks' Informs and Prepares Walkers for April Rose Bowl Fundraiser

About 300 autism supporters and families affected by autism attended the Kick Off to this year’s 10th Anniversary Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 2 – 4 p.m. in the UCLA locker room of the Pasadena Rose Bowl located at 1001 Rose Bowl Drive in Pasadena.

Featured Kick Off speakers included: Nancy Jones, Ph.D. - Program Director of the Autism Treatment Network, Andrea Lee - parent of a child with autism; Team Greenbean, the #1 Autism Speaks walk team in the nation, which has raised over $1M for autism.

The Kick Off offered information on the walk including how to start a walk team, ideas to help people gain support for the cause and fundraising tips. This year’s walk will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Pasadena Rose Bowl.
