Artists Display Sunday at Depot Art Show

Visitors will see paintings, prints, watercolors, sculpture, photography, jewelry, fused glass, and multimedia works.

Chatsworth's annual will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the local train station, 10040 Old Depot Plaza Rd. 

Original art works, created by Valley artists, will be on exhibit at the free outdoor show.  In addition, the Depot Art Show will feature a themed “California Spirit” art show and competition inside the depot lobby. The exhibit will show works of varied art media and styles which highlight the artists’ interpretations of the theme.  

The visiting public will judge and select the winner.

The outdoor event will be presented on the patio and walkways that surround the Chatsworth Depot. Visitors will find a broad range of art media including: paintings, prints, watercolors, sculpture, photography, jewelry, fused glass, and multimedia works in diverse styles that range from realism to abstract to impressionism.

The Whistle Stop Café will be open in the depot lobby, there will be live music, and a free Children’s Art Activities booth where youngsters can express their creativity. In addition, there will be a “People’s Choice Favorite Artist” award.

The Depot Art Show is presented by the Chatsworth Fine Arts Council, a community nonprofit visual arts organization.
