Summer is a great time to assess your readiness and pull together an emergency kit! To help you out, disaster preparedness is the hot topic for the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council meeting on July 10, 6 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Church.

Captain Stacy Gerlich and Captain Christopher Cooper from the LAFD Disaster Preparedness Section CERT Program will give a presentation on disaster preparedness and the upcoming fire season in particular. They will also provide information about the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program and how you can participate. Bring your questions and make an action plan to implement this summer so you are ready.

We also plan to have information available on where you can get your emergency supplies.
