Mens Soccer at CSUN Off to 6-0 Start

It's been a dominating season so far for CSUNS mens' soccer as the matadors have already racked up six wins and zero losses, a first since becoming a NCAA Division I, LA Soccer News reports.

The team beat No. 11 New Mexico on Sunday 3-2 thanks to a goal in the 89th minute by Niko Hansen.

"Beating them at their home field shows our team's character and skill,” Matadors coach Terry Davila said on his school's website. “This isn't something that happens. You don't just go to New Mexico and win. They are consistently one of the best teams in the NCAA, and their record at home is incredible.”

There are only five undefeated Division I teams left.

The Matadors are hosting UNLV on Friday and Sunday against UCLA.
