Wigfall Named Girls Volleyball Coach at Sierra Canyon

She holds a master's degree in clinical psychology and experience as a sports psychologist and children/family therapist.

Stefanie Wigfall has been named the new Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Coach at Sierra Canyon School.

As an undergraduate at UCLA, Wigfall began her coaching career in 2001 under 2012 CIF Coach of the Year Cari Klein—head coach of the Div. 1 State Champions Marymount High School and Director of Sunshine Volleyball Club.

During her tenure with Sunshine Volleyball Club, Wigfall helped secure the club as one of the top in Southern California year after year and garnered both a Junior National Silver Medal, Junior National Bronze Medal, and multiple top 10 Junior National Open finishes. Last year, Wigfall was the Assistant Coach of nationally top ranked Sunshine 17, which took the Gold Medal at the National Indianapolis Qualifier and the Silver Medal at the Southern California Qualifier.

Wigfall stems from Palmdale, California where she was a two-sport standout athlete—Volleyball and Basketball—at Quartz Hill High School. As Valedictorian of her senior class, she understands the unique task of balancing both a high-level athletic and academic standard. Sierra Canyon School Athletics Director Rock Pillsbury says of Wigfall, “Stefanie has everything I wanted in a coach. She has experience in several aspects of volleyball as a player, high school coach, and club coach. She is poised and ready to take our program to new heights.”
