VIDEO: Chatsworth High Seniors Graduate

Nearly 800 Chatsworth High School seniors receive diplomas at Thursday's ceremony.

As 784 graduating students walked toward Gjertrud Smith field for Thursday's Chatsworth High School graduation ceremony, they shared excitement and joy at closing one chapter in life and beginning a new one.

The ceremony officially kicked off with music by the Chancellor Band and a speech by Sherry Chan, senior class president.

Some high-performing students, including the Class of 2011's 30 valedictorians, will be attending top universities, such as UC Berkeley, UCLA and USC, in the fall.
