Sierra Canyon Senior Wins Fourth 100-Yard Breaststroke Title

Lilly Parks ends her high school swimming career in the record books.

Lilly Parks, a Sierra Canyon senior, Friday became the first female swimmer in the Southern Section Div. IV to win the 100-yard breaststroke four years in a row by clocking 1 minute, 5.57 seconds at Riverside City College.

"It's a bittersweet feeling. I'm walking out of here as the champion and record holder, but at the same time, I'm sad that it's over," Parks told the Daily News. "I'm just really happy and thankful that I had this spectacular opportunity over the last four years. When I look in the record book, I'm in there along with so many amazing people. I'm always going to be able to look back and have those memories and just remember how much fun I had."
