Granada Hills Girls Take City Basketball Championship

They defeat Westchester High School by a score of 51-43 in overtime.

The Granada Hills Girls Varsity Basketball team won the Division 2 City Championship Friday over Westchester High School by a score of 51-43 in overtime.

Granada, led by Danielle Ward's 24 points and 15 rebounds, rallied from a 7 point deficit in the 4th quarter to send the game into overtime and victory.

The team will now take on Culver City High on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. for the 1st Round of the CIF State Playoffs at Granada Hills Charter.
