Grading of the land around the new Porter Ranch Community School is expected to continue for about a year. But efforts are being made to limit noise, dirt and dust after the first students arrive in Fall 2012.
A representative of the Porter Ranch Development Co. will discuss those plans at the Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council meeting, 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 19700 Rinaldi St.
The K-8 span school, to serve the Chatsworth and Porter Ranch region, is currently under construction at the corner of Mason Avenue and Sesnon Boulevard.
The company plans to complete grading nearest the school as early as possible.
In a letter to the Neighborhood Council, the company said grading will be north of Corbin Street between Porter Ranch Drive and Mason Avenue and around the school site.
There will also be a discussion at the meeting of plans by Whole Foods market to seek renewal of its beer and wine license.
