Presidents Are on Parade at Chatsworth Hills Academy

The school's Great American Art Show, features student artwork in the style of great American artists.

Birthday boy George Washington led the 44 guests of honor who paraded through the Chatsworth Hills Academy (CHA) campus in celebration of Presidents Week.

As part of the activities related to this year’s school-wide annual theme, USA@CHA, students from preschool through eighth grade dressed as the 43 men who have served as chief executive.  Two separate students portrayed Grover Cleveland, the only man to have served two non-consecutive terms in office.

In addition to the presidential parade, CHA held a Great American Art Show, featuring student artwork in the style of great American artists including Georgia O’Keeffe, James Audubon and Norman Rockwell.  Seventh graders acted as docents who presented information on each artist’s biography and contribution to the art world.  The exhibit featured more than 150 pieces of original works of art and was hosted by Shelley Bloom, 2010 winner of the Chatsworth/Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce Creative Arts Unforgettable Educator Award.
