VIDEO: Big Scissors? The Unkindest Cut of All

With the severing of a ceremonial ribbon, the Orange Line extension opens.

An important lesson was learned Saturday.

When cutting a ceremonial ribbon with oversized scissors, better make sure those blades are sharp. Patch reader Glenn Bailey's video captured Councilman Mitch Englander struggling as Congressman Howard Berman and local residents looked on.

But all's well that ends well as one ribbon becomes two and the Orange Line extension is officially open.
