He has been a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives since 1997, representing California's 27th congressional district. Sherman represents California’s San Fernando Valley, and currently resides in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Mark Reed is a 2012 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 30th Congressional District of California, challenging incumbent Congressman Brad Sherman and Congressman Howard Berman in the 30th Congressional District of California. Mark ran against Congressman Brad Sherman in 27th District in 2010. Mark had the second smallest margin in the State of Calif. challenging an incumbent Democrat.
