Porter Ranch Council to Hear Talk by LAFD Battalion Chief Tonight

Battalion Chief Trevor Richmond helped cut nearly $89 million from the budget.

The Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council meets Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. with a presentation LAFD Battalion Chief Trevor Richmond beginning at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 19700 Rinaldi St., Porter Ranch.

Battalion Chief Trevor Richmond has served 24 years with the Los Angeles Fire Department and the last two years as the Planning Section Commander in the Fire Chief's office where he assists the Fire Chief in managing the day-to-day operations of the Fire Department.  He has held the ranks of Firefighter, Apparatus Operator, Captain I and Captain II and has worked in every part of the City and has been a Chief Officer a little over three years.

Chief Richmond was one of the original developers with Chief Cummings of the 2012 Deployment Plan where the department was required to cut nearly $89 million from our budget.  He is also currently working with the Fire Chief and Labor to develop a plan that ultimately adds resources back to the department as the economy improves.
