Play Area Undergoing Upgrade in Mason Park

The play area equipment will be upgraded and designed so that children of all abilities can use it.

Construction has started on a new play area at Mason Park in Chatsworth, Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitchell Englander's office announced last week. Work on the play area is expected to be completed in April.

The existing equipment in the current play area will be upgraded. It will also be designed so that children of all abilities can use the equipment provided at the park's play area, according to Englander's office.

A splash pad will be incorporated into the design of the play area which will feature water-related play equipment for kids.

"The Los Angeles Parks Foundation received a grant from First 5 LA to renovate the playground at Mason Park. The Foundation held outreach meetings in the community and worked with Shane’s Inspiration to design the playground," according to Englander's office.
