Magnitude 2.8 Quake in Santa Clarita River Valley
6:45 a.m.'s "light shaking" had an epicenter near Fillmore, in Ventura County
A small earthquake rattled northwest Los Angeles County and eastern Ventura County today, according to automated seismographs operated by the USGS.
The magnitude 2.8 shaker struck at 6:45 a.m., and had an epicenter 6 miles west northwest of Fillmore, or about 15 miles northwest of Saugus, in Santa Clarita.
At least 26 persons in the Santa Clara River Valley reported that they felt the quake as light shaking on a USGS website.
