The Los Angeles City Council today approved a $10 million settlement in a case involving a woman who was struck by a Bureau of Sanitation truck in Northridge.
The personal injury lawsuit filed against the city by Maria Becerra had to do with a "tragic case in which a young woman was severely injured in a traffic incident," Councilman Paul Krekorian said.
"It was one those very unfortunate circumstances," he said.
The accident happened on May 9, 2012, at the intersection of Reseda Boulevard and Nordhoff Street, according to a city attorney report.
