Englander, USGS to Host Earthquake Preparedness Presentation
Dr. Lucy Jones, a United States Geological Survey seismologist, will explain the importance and steps necessary for preparedness.
Councilman Mitchell Englander and the United States Geological Survey are hosting an earthquake preparedness presentation for the community at the Shepherd of the Hills Church, 19700 Rinaldi Street, on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
United States Geological Survey Seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones will present "Imagine America without Los Angeles," to show the reality of why preparedness matters.
The presentation will also explain the steps both the community and individuals can take in order to be better prepared for an earthquake.
