Chatsworth Neighborhood Council Sets Special Election

The vote will take place Feb. 6 during the Council meeting.

The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council will hold a special election on Wednesday, Feb. 6, to fill one vacant seat on the board.

The Council meets 7 p.m. in the library at Lawrence Middle School, 10100 Variel Ave. Candidates will have an opportunity to make a statement and take questions. The election will be held during the meeting.

The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council is a city-certified panel made up of people who live, work, own property or board a horse in the community. Council board members are elected by area stakeholders and the officers are elected by the board.

Any stakeholder wishing to run for the vacant seat must file a Stakeholder Registration Form and a Special Election Candidate Form by 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30. Details are on the forms which can be printed out from the photo box on the right.
