Woman Seriously Injured in Crash on Zelzah Avenue

The driver becomes trapped but is quickly freed, according to the LAFD.

A woman was seriously injured Friday night when the car she was driving crashed in Northridge, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Zelzah Avenue, one block south of Nordhoff Street, said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver in the solo vehicle crash became trapped but was quickly freed, Scott said.

The woman was taken to a hospital, Scott said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
