VIDEO: Police Search Chatsworth Bungalow Probing 'Suspicious Death'

Body of a 32-year-old woman was found by her male roommate.

Police continued to swarm a house and property today on the 19800 block of Old Santa Susana Pass Road in Chatsworth, investigating a suspicious death late Thursday. Police called it a crime scene.

The body of a 32-year-old woman was found by her male roommate in a ramshackled rented bungalow in the rural horse ranch country of Chatsworth, just off Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Police have not yet released the victim's name nor classified it as a homicide, however, an LAPD spokesperson told Patch that the location of the body and the age of the victim made it a "suspicious death."

Even Captain Chris Pitcher, who runs the LAPD Devonshire Division, arrived at the scene in civilian clothes to direct his officers. "They are working with the coroner's office... They are talking to neighbors. They are talking with witnesses to process and gather all the information they can and they're processing the crime scene to see if there's any foul play whatsoever involved," Pitcher told KABC7.
