Three Suspects Carjack a Vehicle from CSUN
The vehicle was abandoned a short time later in the surrounding neighborhood.
Police today sought the public's help in locating three armed carjackers who took a victim's vehicle on campus of the California State University Northridge and abandoned it short time later in the surrounding neighborhood.
The three suspects -- two males and a female -- approached the victim about 11:35 p.m. Friday at a campus parking lot south of Lassen Street, according to a news statement from campus police.
One of the suspects started up a conversation with the victim and then pointed a black semiautomatic handgun, demanding the victim's car keys. All three suspects entered the victim's vehicle and left the location. The vehicle was found a short time later in the surrounding neighborhood, according to the statement.

The first suspect was described as a 5 foot 9 inch tall black male in his late teens or early 20s with a slender build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue flat rim hat, a dark-hooded sweater and carrying a blue steel semiautomatic and handgun.
The second suspect was described as a 6 foot black man also in his late teens and early 20s with a slender build. He also had a moustache, wore dark Dickies shorts, a red T-shirt and a gray hooded sweater that was unzipped.

The third suspect was described as a short and stocky black female in her late teens to early 20s with long braids and possibly wearing gray sweats. She was last seen wearing a jacket and a yellow-striped shirt.
Campus police asked anyone with information abiut the carjacking to call (818) 677-2111.
