Slow Speed Chase Ends in Porter Ranch

It began in Ventura Freeway.

A slow-speed chase that began in Ventura County ended in the Porter Ranch area tonight with the suspect being taken into custody.

The chase originated with the CHP in Ventura County at 6:37 p.m. and rarely exceeded 45 mph, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

The chase ended at the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway and Reseda Boulevard at 6:55 p.m., Kimball said.

Kimball said he did not know why the chase began.
