Police Scanner Crackles With Overnight Action

Here are the actual reports we monitored on Thursday and Friday.

The police scanner radio crackles overnight with action all over the Valley. So we've been listening. Here are the raw data of reports collected over the past two nights, Jan. 13 to today, while we've been monitoring.

THURSDAY 

2:50 p.m. 
Nordhoff Street and Winnetka Avenue, Winnetka

Shooting occurred Nordhoff and Winnetka, suspect is a man with slightly dark complexion and wearing a white muscle tank-top shirt. Suspect vehicle is a black Dodge Charger with 20 to 22 inch rims. Was last seen eastbound on Nordhoff Street, traveling in the number two lane. The suspect is a male Hispanic, thin build, wearing all black clothing. Witness heard the suspect yell, "V.P."

6:25 p.m.
10500 block of Moorpark St., Studio City
Report of possible burglary. Suspect is a male, possibly Hispanic, wearing a white shirt, blue windbreaker and blue jeans. Suspect's vehicle is described as possibly a white Ford, '70's model, with two-tone cab; partial plate numbers are: "007."

6:31 p.m.
Sherman Way and Whitsett Ave., North Hollywood
Report of possible attempted kidnapping in progress. The female victim is walking on Sherman Way and being followed by two suspects, possible Hispanic or Armenian, wearing all black clothing. A driver is also seen in a black sub-compact vehicle. The suspects are observed attempting to put the victim into the vehicle at Sherman Way and Whitsett Avenue.

6:40 p.m.
Fulton Ave. and Magnolia Bl., Van Nuys
Report of assault with a deadly weapon. Suspects just left the scene, and are described as two males and 1 female, possibly Armenian.

7:08 p.m.
11300 block of Oxnard St., North Hollywood
Report of assault with a deadly weapon. Suspect is a male, 20 years old. The suspect has just left the scene, fleeing in and unknown direction.

7:08 p.m.
2200 block of Leadwell St., Van Nuys
911 call for ambulance. Drug overdose.

7:08 p.m.
Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Erwin Street., Woodland Hills
Report of a fight; man possibly armed with a gun.

7:36 p.m.
Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Parthenia Street, Box Canyon
Report of a fight:  3 suspects are seen- possibly armed with guns.

Suspect #1 is described as male, white, 5'6" tall, with short black hair, possibly wearing a brown bullet-proof vest, and wearing short pants.

Suspect #2 is described as male, 5'9" tall, dark hair and possibly wearing a brown bullet-proof vest, and what appears to be a magazine clip in his top right pocket.

Suspect #3 is described as male, 6'0" tall, with no other description.

Suspects were last seen running southbound on Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Units requested to respond "code 3."

9:01 p.m.
13500 block of Runnymede St., Van Nuys
Initial report of juveniles fighting. A second call reports a possible assault with a deadly weapon. Units respond "code 2."

9:45 p.m.
13400 block of Vanowen St., Van Nuys
Report of domestic violence. A woman's ex-boyfriend has returned to the property. Suspect is male, Hispanic, and he is wearing blue shorts. The woman is still inside her apartment. Units respond "code 2."

9:45 p.m.
Chandler Boulevard and Denny Avenue, North Hollywood
Report of armed robbery. The suspect is a male Hispanic, short black hair, 5'5", 150 lbs., wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was last seen on foot, going southbound on Denny Avenue. Property taken was an iPod.

9:50 p.m.
5200 block of Willowcrest Ave., North Hollywood
Report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The possible suspect is in front of the residence, described as a black male, wearing a black sweatshirt with gray sleeves, black pants, and is threatening the reporting party with a possible handgun.

10:37 p.m.
Sherman Way between Kester Street and Van Nuys oulevard, Van Nuys
Report of woman screaming. A witness observed a suspect forcibly holding the woman. The suspect was described as male, possibly Eastern Indian, and seen armed with a belt. The woman was described as wearing glasses, a dark jacket and blue jeans.

Westbound on Ventura Bl. Near Louise Ave., Encino
Police stop a shirtless man walking on Ventura Boulevard, crossing Louise Avenue.
