Police Report 39 Chatsworth Crimes

Most take place during daylight hours.

During the 17 days from May 26 through June 11, there were 39 crimes in the Chatsworth area, an average of 2.2 crimes a day, a decrease of .4 crimes per day over the previous reporting period.

Of the 39 crimes, only one was violent. The remaining 38 were thefts, burglaries, theft from cars and grand thefts auto.

Fifteen of the crimes occurred during nighttime hours, while the remaining 24 occurred during daylight hours. Of these daylight hour crimes, 16 occurred during regular business hours.

The total breakdown of crime for this time period is: 12 thefts from vehicles, 9 thefts, 10 burglaries, 7 grand thefts auto and 1 aggravated assault.
