Police in Valley Need Help Finding Missing 85-Year-Old Woman

Mariya Gershenson only speaks and understands Russian and is need of her daily medication.

Authorities today sought the public's help in locating an 85-year-old woman suffering from dementia, who was last seen Monday near Louise Park in Reseda.

Mariya Gershenson, who only speaks and understands Russian and is need of her daily medication, was last seen Monday in the 17000 block of Sherman Way, according to a department statement.

Gershenson was described a 5-foot, 10-inch tall white woman weighing approximately 140 pounds with a thin build. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded shirt or sweatshirt and carrying a black purse.

Anyone with any information regarding Gershenson's whereabouts was asked to call West Valley station detectives at (818) 374-7611.
