Police Hunt Driver of Pickup That Killed Motorcyclist in Chatsworth [VIDEO]

The 25-year-old victim from Porter Ranch died at De Soto Avenue and Nordhoff Street.

An autopsy is pending on a motorcycle rider who died in a collision in Chatsworth with a white Ford pickup truck whose driver did not stop.

Police withheld the name of the man killed at De Soto Avenue and Nordhoff Street about 1 p.m. Saturday. A coroner's spokesman declined to name the man, saying some relatives were out of the country. He did say he was 25 and lived in Porter Ranch.

The collision sent the Harley-Davidson motorcycle into a utility pole. The truck driver was described as an Hispanic man with a moustash in his 30s, and the truck may have been 1999 or 2000 model F-250 or F-350, police said.

The investigation was being handled by police assigned to the Valley Traffic Division.

The truck driver, who had been headed north on De Soto, was turning left onto Nordhoff, and the motorcycle rider was southbound on De Soto, according to police.
