Police Hunt Driver of Pickup That Killed Motorcyclist in Chatsworth [VIDEO]

The 25-year-old victim from Porter Ranch died at De Soto Avenue and Nordhoff Street.

An autopsy is pending on a motorcycle rider who died in a collision in Chatsworth with a white Ford pickup truck whose driver did not stop.

Police withheld the name of the man killed at De Soto Avenue and Nordhoff Street about 1 p.m. Saturday. A coroner's spokesman declined to name the man, saying some relatives were out of the country. He did say he was 25 and lived in Porter Ranch.

The collision sent the Harley-Davidson motorcycle into a utility pole. The truck driver was described as an Hispanic man with a moustash in his 30s, and the truck may have been 1999 or 2000 model F-250 or F-350, police said.

The investigation was being handled by police assigned to the Valley Traffic Division.

The truck driver, who had been headed north on De Soto, was turning left onto Nordhoff, and the motorcycle rider was southbound on De Soto, according to police.

Any witnesses were asked to call police at 818-644-8032.

How many people reading this tragic article have been in traffic accidents where the person who caused the accident quickly drove away? I have. You must ALWAYS call the LAPD for any accident, no matter how small. As long as the Govt authorites won't take actions to protect us from the unlicensed, uninsured people ILLEGALLY still driving on our roads and killing people like this; anytime you drive your vehicle is playing Russian Roulette with yourself, your family, your property and your life & bank account. Get these illegals OFF the road. Enforce the traffic laws and no 'catch and release' here or on the border. IMPOUND THESE CARS AND SELL THEM AT AUCTION. The Govt can use the money.

Thank you AG! Well said and neccessary. My sister was killed last year by a hit-and-run driver, she was crossing the street. THey pulled over, looked at her, then drove off andleft her in middle of street. They were obviously either drunk and scared or illegal and scared but whatever the situation, they knew for sure what they had done and then just took off. It's just an accident until you leave the scene. Once you leave the scene it's a homicide. Even if you are under the influence you are better off calling for help rather than fleeing the scene and turning it into a homicide case.

I can't beleave, AG you can't hide your hate betweent the lines, it shows that if your tripped, your going to blame it on the illegals, if a plane crashes is the illegals, if your house burns down is the illegals, GET A LIFE, not because they said it was a hispanic person it have to be illegal. it could be more american than you, ethnicity doesn't make you illegal. DOES IT?
