In the last report I read, a twelve year old girl was being followed by two male Hispanics. One male was on foot while the other followed in a white pick-up truck. The girl ignored the suspect as he spoke to her. Finally, this clever girl pretended to see someone she knew and waved. The suspect immediately got into the pickup truck and drove away.

Talk to your family and friends about being aware of their surroundings, and have a plan if they are approached by a potential predator. It is important to be prepared for potentially dangerous situations. Know your child's route home. Make sure they never stray from that path. If possible, have your child walk with friends or siblings.
