Parolee Arrested in Chatsworth

An unidentified man is taken into custody Tuesday after allegedly running away from his parole officer.

A police perimeter helped nab a parolee who allegedly ran from his parole officer Tuesday afternoon in Chatsworth, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

With an LAPD helicopter overhead, squad cars were set up around Owensmouth Avenue and Tuba Street to apprehend the suspect, who was reported missing at 2:14 p.m., said Officer Bruce Borihan.

The parolee was taken into custody within the perimeter around 4:30 p.m, Borihan said.

The parolee was not immediately identified and it's unclear why he ran from his parole officer.
