Updated: Power Restored to Most in Chatsworth, Northridge Outage

Department of Water and Power crews have restored power to all but 650 customers in the Chatsworth and Porter Ranch areas who lost power at 6:50 p.m. Sunday due to downed lines, authorities said.

At its peak, the outage affected about 4,000 customers, said the DWP's Kim Hughes.

It is not certain when the remaining customers will have their power restored, Hughes said. Crews would continue working to restore service.

The outage was not related to high winds, and the cause was under investigation,  she said.
