My kids and I were up late watching a movie and we heard gun shots. The police heleicopter had a spot light on and they were circling the area. We could hear emergency sirens of all kinds it seemed. Living within a block of a crime of this nature was distrubing to say the least!!! I ,myself grew up in this area -I attended Parthenia Street Elementary School when I was a child and this was such a 'different' place to live back then. I wish my children could have known how things 'were'. The kids growing up in the San Fernando Valley,CA today have way too much to worry about-especially where their safty is concerned. It's so sad to see our community slipping away so fast and hard. People really need to start looking at life as a gift and go back to some of the more simple ways. All the stress and drama-ANGER-it's just all such a waste of our time,People !!! I'd like to propose a simple toast to my neighbors; "Heres to LIFE- I LOVE IT! and Heres to LOVE-MORE OF IT!!!!!!! Have an AMAZING day,My Friends.Smile a couple times today-laugh -Be Happy-Live well.
