Gunman Opens Fire at Batman Premiere in Colorado

While you were sleeping, a masked gunman launched an attack during a midnight showing of the new film "The Dark Knight Rises."

Huffington Post reports at 3 a.m.:

A shooting at a movie theater near Denver has left at least 14 people dead, 9News.com reported.

The incident, which took place at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colo., is still under investigation, police said. More than 250 officers have reportedly been dispatched to the scene. Read more >

CNN reports at 3 a.m.:

At least 14 people were killed and 50 were wounded when a gunman opened fire during an early Friday morning screening of the new Batman movie at an Aurora, Colorado, theater, Police Chief Dan Oates told reporters.
