A murder suspect was arrested Wednesday near Chatsworth High School, which was locked down as a precaution while the search was conducted.
The search began about 11:30 a.m. near Mayall Street and Sunnybrae Avenue, Los Angeles police Officer Chris No said.
The arrest of the suspect, who was not immediately identified, took place about 90 minutes later, police said. The lockdown was lifted shortly afterward.
