Pair Found Dead in Chatsworth Home

Police are investigating the death of a man and woman, whose bodies were found in a Chatsworth home today, a police sergeant said.

Police were notified of the death in the area of Oso Avenue and Lassen Street about 6 a.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jose Valle of the Devonshire station.  He did confirm that there was a double homicide at the location.

Valle refused to disclose what kind of call prompted officers to the location, saying that information ''would compromise the investigation.'' He also refused to say the man and a woman were found in an apartment unit or residence.

"Right now, we're in the preliminary stages of the investigation. We don't want to say anything that may compromise the investigation,'' he said.
