UPDATED: Man Dies After Hit-and-Run Crash in Northridge
Police seek a hit-and-run motorist after a two-vehicle collision that killed Robert Ramage.
A hit-and-run motorist was being sought following a collision that killed a young man in Northridge early today.
Robert Ramage, 24, of Northridge, died at a hospital following the 12:25 a.m. crash at Parthenia Street and Balboa Boulevard.
A 2001 tan Ford Ranger pickup was westbound on Parthenia when it collided with Ramage's gray 1993 Ford Escort, which was southbound on Balboa Boulevard, police said.

Ramage, who worked at an animal clinic and had hoped to become a veterinarian, was ejected from the car and was found lying in the street.
The suspect's car continued north in the southbound lanes of Balboa and collided with a parked vehicle. The driver, who took off on foot, was described as a white man in his late 20s, about 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing between 230 to 280 pounds.
