UPDATED: Standoff with Barricaded Man Lasts 4 Hours

No injuries have been reported, but two nearby schools were locked down, police said.

A suspected shooter who barricaded himself in a Reseda home for more than four hours was forced out by gas shot by a SWAT team.

Los Angeles police were sent to the 18000 block of Sherman Way, near Lindley Avenue, about 12:15 p.m. on reports of shots heard, then called for a SWAT team, according to an officer with the Media Relations Office.

The suspect was forced out of the home at 4:50 p.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera.

No injuries were reported, but two nearby schools were locked down, police said.
