LAPD Rallies to Support Officer's 14-Month-Old Son Suffering from Brain Cancer

A fundraiser will be held in Chatsworth on Saturday, Aug. 11.

Max Hansen, the youngest son of Allison and Officer Grant Hansen of the LAPD's North Hollywood Division, was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor on May 6. Max is only 14 months old. It was completely removed by the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, where he is currently undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy, according to an email sent out by the LAPD.

On Saturday, Aug. 11, the Hansen's family and friends are throwing a fundraiser to help Max. The bake sale and barbeque will take place at Mason Park at 10500 Mason Ave. in Chatsworth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Many LAPD officers are expected to be in attendance. See the attached flier for more information.
