LAFD to Beef Up Weekend Resources in Chatsworth
Firefighters get ready to deal with extreme weekend heat.
The Los Angeles Fire Department will beef up resources in Chatsworth when it adds 17 engine companies, eight brush patrol companies and five rescue ambulances to its usual citywide deployment Sunday and Monday.
Because of the extreme heat expected, additional resources will also be placed in Griffith Park, Pacific Palisades, El Sereno, Sunland Tujunga and Woodland Hills, the Los Angeles Fire Department announced Friday.
