A home in West Hills burned Tuesday morning due to high winds, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.

No injuries were reported and an evacuation was not necessary, states the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"Firefighters were sent to the 8400 block of Hillary Drive at 11:21 a.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. Two helicopters were also dispatched, he said, noting that winds of about 35 mph were reported in the area," according to the Daily News.

The Daily News also reports that in an effort to prevent further spreading of flames through flying embers, firefighters sprayed the home and nearby vegetation.
