Fire Department Douses Northridge Blaze

No injuries were reported.

A fire burned today in a Northridge business, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the 9000 block of Tampa Avenue at what may have been a dry cleaning business, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Rescuers arriving at the location reported heavy smoke showing from the single-story business, Humphrey said.
