A fire burned today in a Northridge business, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.
The fire was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the 9000 block of Tampa Avenue at what may have been a dry cleaning business, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Rescuers arriving at the location reported heavy smoke showing from the single-story business, Humphrey said.

With 20 firefighters on the scene, the fire was confined to a single area in 10 minutes, Humphrey said.
