Deputy's Bad Allergies Causes Crash With Pole

Excessive sneezing causes the driver to lose control, but he is uninjured.

A bout with hay fever caused an L.A. County Sherriff's Deputy to lose control of his patrol vehicle and collide with a power pole on Topanga Canyon Boulevard south of Marilla Street in Chatsworth, authorities said.

The crash happened around 12:24 p.m. and the deputy walked away without any injuries, said Officer James Norton said of LAPD's Valley Traffic Division.

"He was having an allergy attack and sneezing," Norton said.
