Chatsworth Sees Increase in Crime

The Los Angeles Times reports that in the last three months Chatsworth averaged 0.6 in violent crimes a week, and 17.6 in property crimes.

The Los Angeles Times reported on crime data, collected from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, stating that Chatsworth had an increase in violent crimes in the last few months.

"Ten neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Chatsworth (A) was the most unusual, recording five reports compared with a weekly average of 0.6 over the last three months," according to the L.A. Times article.

Between Jan. 14 and Jan. 20, violent crime reports in Chatsworth 
increased and property crime reports were about average, states the article.

"Over the last three months, Chatsworth averaged 0.6 violent crimes and 17.6 property crimes per week," according to L.A. Times.

The Times reports that "this week's rate of 5.7 crimes per 10,000 people is higher than in nearby Northridge,Porter RanchWest HillsCanoga Park and Winnetka."
