Car Rolls over at Chatsworth St. and Corbin Ave.

Driver was reported to be turning right on to Chatsworth Street and "missed the turn."

A car rolled over at 2:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Chatsworth Street  and Corbin Avenue.

Jim Dellinger of Councilman Mitch Englander's office said that the driver was turning right on to Chatsworth Street and "missed the turn." There were no skid marks, he reported, but a portion of the wall on the northeast was knocked out.

Details from the police were not immediately available.

Some facts are missing, based on common sense here... How do you "miss" a turn by several hundred feet, when driving up hill (up hill would aid in slowing to turn, plus it adds to the camber of the turn, which allows for a faster speed in the turn), and at a clearly-marked intersection with a signal? No skid marks = likely not speeding... Hmmm: The more I think about it, the more interesting it gets!

"missed the turn"? He didn't turn at all. You can clearly see the American Flag in Google street view, and the entire car is to the left of it. The right front damage clearly shows that he drifted out of his lane and ran head on into the wall. Must have been a really important text message.
