Porter Ranch Burglars Hit 4 Homes

Police ask residents to be on the lookout for a newer model, white Chevrolet SUV with a moderate-size dent on the right side, near the driver's door.

From LAPD Senior Lead Officer Dario Del Core:

Four residential burglaries occurred on Monday in the area west of Reseda Avenue and north of Rinaldi Street in Porter Ranch.

All of the burglaries occurred during daytime hours, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The method of entry was forced/smashed windows, and property taken has been mainly jewelry.

Two of the four burglaries occurred minutes apart, around 2 p.m., across the street from each other in the 12000 block of Dunblane Avenue in the vicinity of Castlebay Elementary. Video surveillance cameras provided the description of the vehicle.

The other two burglaries occurred in the 19000 block of Brasilia Drive and the 11600 block of Porter Valley Drive.

Be on the lookout for a newer model, white Chevrolet SUV with a moderate-size dent on the right side, near the driver's door. Three men age 20 to 30 are being sought in the crimes.

Remember, do not open your door to strangers, but do let them know you are home. A common method of operation for these burglars is to knock at the front door several times and, upon getting no answer, move to the side or back of the house and force their way in.

Use 911 for emergencies and direct dispatch; 877-275-5273, for non-emergency calls.
