Big Rig Overturns on 118 Freeway Near De Soto Avenue

No one was injured in the incident, according to an LAFD official.

A big rig overturned on the 118 Freeway Saturday evening, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. No injuries have been reported.

Eric Scott, public information officer at the LAFD, said that the accident was reported at 7.16 p.m.

"There was a small fire, but it was extinguished,'' Scott said.

The incident happened on the eastbound side of the freeway near De Soto Avenue. The California Highway Patrol has shut down the on-ramp at De Soto, and will reopen it around 8.30 p.m. this evening.

Scott told Patch that details of the incident could be found on the LAFD's twitter feed.
