A man allegedly armed with a knife was wounded Sunday in an officer-involved shooting in the Winnetka area after police responded to a domestic disturbance call, authorities said.
No officers were injured in the shooting, which happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 19800 block of Hemingway Street near Oakdale Avenue, said Sgt. Troy Collins of the Los Angeles Police Department's Topanga Station.
The suspect, who was struck in an arm, was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, Collins said.
An officer shot the suspect inside a home after responding to a call of a family disturbance, police said.
