Air Ambulance Whisks Ill Infant to the Hospital

Rescue chopper lands on baseball field in West Hills.

A Los Angeles Fire Department air ambulance made a landing in West Hills shortly before midnight Friday to airlift an ill infant to a hospital.

The chopper landed in a baseball field on Valley Circle Boulevard north of Vanowen Street, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey. Fire Station 106 also responded to the scene.

Details on the child's illness were not immediately available.
