A Funeral Instead of a Wedding for Griselda Sandoval

A memorial fund has been set up to help her family.

The bride was to be married on a Malibu beach Saturday. Instead, she will be buried Tuesday.

, 25, was the passenger in a Honda driven by her 18-year-old brother, Roberto, when an SUV crossed into the wrong lane at Parthenia Street and Corbin Avenue in Northridge on Monday.

They were on the way to her apartment to pick up a uniform for her hostess job at  when she was .

The driver of the SUV, Valerie Stewart, 50, of Van Nuys, had a blood alcohol level of .22, nearly three times the legal limit, . Stewart was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.

Griselda Sandoval's sister Maricela told KCBS2, “At this time, there are no tears coming out of me because there is so much anger in my heart.”

Burial will be Tuesday at the San Fernando Mission in Mission Hills.
