4-Vehicle Crash Possibly Sparks Brush Fire

Two people are transported to a nearby hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

California Highway Patrol officer Patrick Kimball said all westbound lanes of the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway were closed around 12:30 a.m. Saturday at the site of a four-vehicle crash and brush fire east of Reseda Boulevard in Northridge.

The auto crash may have sparked a nearby vegetation fire that burned along the westbound lanes of the freeway and may still have been burning as of 2:30 a.m.

Two people were transported to a nearby hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
